|NEWS&UPDATES| THE SIMS 4 SNOWY ESCAPE EXPANSION PACK DETAILS AND KEY FEATURES

The Sims 4 Snowy Escape Trailer premiered earlier today and we need to admit that we ARE SHOCKED.

This pack was really unexpected in the community and many Simmers are positively overwhelmed after watching seeing the trailer.

We are sharing some details from the Snowy Escape Trailer that caught our eye and the Key Features that were posted on the Official EA Website.

The Sims 4 Snowy Escapes will be available on November 13th, 2020.

If you still haven't seen the trailer, click HERE.

As you can see, we're definitely getting a winter-themed pack, inspired by the Japanese culture that will bring plenty of new features to our gameplay.

We're wondering, do you remember the Nifty Knitting trailer where an Elder is reminiscing and one of the bubbles showed skiing as a memory?

Well, now your Elders will definitely get this bubble in your game too because, with The Sims 4 Snowy Escape, our Sims will be able to try out their skills on the mountain and Ski, sled, snowboard, or as real adventurers climb to the top of the mountain.

It hasn't been confirmed yet but another feature we're probably getting and that has been seen in the trailer is snow depth.
These two Sims are hiking on the mountain and you can clearly see the difference between one foot that is covered in snow while the other foot is sticking out.

It was confirmed that The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack is not required to experience and enjoy The Sims 4 Snowy Escape.

There are also plenty of building items coming and the long-awaited feature - SPLIT LEVELS!

Since this is an expansion pack, we believe there's a lot more stuff coming besides these that we saw in the trailer.

Another cool thing we noticed is definitely the hairstyles that have been shown, it seems like this could be one of the best hairstyles we ever got.

As you can see, there are a lot of CAS items coming too.

There are new recipes and eating habits coming.

We noticed some delicious portions of sushi, ramen, noodles, rice... all consumed around the Chabudai table (short-legged table used in traditional Japanese homes).

Lastly, look closely at these pictures and you'll see there's a Mascot, probably representing the Resort or a sporting event?

But, in the right bottom corner of every picture, there are two elements, a heart, and a comment icon!

This wasn't confirmed yet but there's a lot of talk going on in the community that this could actually be an improved version of Simstagram!

P.S. there's also a NEW FESTIVAL coming with this pack!

We hope you like The Sims 4 Snowy Escape as much as we do, below we leave you to read the key features and tell us in the comments what you think about everything?

Have you already made a pre-order?

KEY FEATURES

CHASE YOUR THRILLS

Test your Sim’s skill and endurance with activities on the mountainside! Grab skis for a downhill ride, strap on a snowboard to shred, or bundle up on a sled with another Sim. Prefer going up? Build their rock climbing skills and challenge your Sim to reach the mountain peak during daring, sometimes dangerous, excursions.

FIND YOUR ZEN

Let your Sim’s worries float away in the natural hot springs, then unwind over hot pot around the kotatsu table or socialize while hiking through bamboo forests and snowy terrain. Bask in the serenity of mindful walks and soothing music to take control of your emotions and discover your inner zen.

CREATE YOUR SANCTUARY

Whether you prefer the traditional details or modern touches of Japanese-inspired furniture and decor, you can incorporate shoji doors, windows and screens, tatami mats, and more to design a home that complements your life. Take your shoes off at the genkan entryway in the soft glow of paper lanterns overhead, or build your own rock garden outside!

DEFINE YOUR LIFESTYLE

Unlock new personality and relationship effects with the introduction of Lifestyles and Sentiments. Lifestyles manifest in response to your Sim’s actions and habits, changing their behaviors appropriately. Similarly, shared experiences inspire Sentiments and have a lasting impact on Sims’ relationships with each other, affecting their social interactions.
